Kate Farms’ founders, Michelle and Richard Laver, are the parents of four children, including their daughter, Kate, who was born with cerebral palsy. Her parents wanted to give her a healthier, dairy-free option to the meal replacement shakes recommended by her doctor.
We developed our own meal replacement shake in the Laver kitchen one night with the help of a dear friend. We left out the sugar and dairy products and replaced them with all-natural vegan ingredients, creating the world’s first dairy-free, gluten-free and soy-free ready to drink meal replacement shake! As a result, Kate Farms was born.
Over the years, Kate Farms Komplete Meal Replacement Shakes have evolved with the latest scientific findings and formulas. Liked the prior formula, haven’t tried the new one

We tried these when they were made with brown rice protein, and quite liked the flavors – especial the vanilla. They were a little gritty in consistency. To resolve this, they switched to a pea protein formula. We’ve been told it has a more mainstream taste now.
